Geodetic Monitoring of the “Ugljevik Istok 2”
Geodetic monitoring and compliance verification of an open-pit mine against the official concession boundary, combining UAV surveying, GNSS control network, and GIS-based analysis.
The work was carried out through an integrated workflow that combines:
-
A 3D GK control network (18 points) tied to SRPOS, measured using the RTK method, with ~1 cm horizontal accuracy (CHCNav i86, Ruide Rova 1).
-
UAV surveying (Autel Evo 2 Pro), generation of an orthomosaic and terrain model, with processing and orthorectification (DroneDeploy) and georeferencing using RTK control points.
-
Additional verification using PlanetScope satellite imagery (before/after), along with a consolidated QGIS analysis (georeferencing, visual validation, and digitization of the open-pit boundary line).
-
Comparison of the orthomosaic/3D model with the official vector concession boundaries to identify deviations.
