Main Road Reconstruction: Control Network & Updated Topographic Base (Mrkonjić Grad)
For the main design of the road reconstruction in the municipality of Mrkonjić Grad, S2IT established the surveying control framework and performed detailed field data capture using a combined GNSS (SRPOS/RTK) and total-station workflow, delivering an up-to-date topographic base in CAD-ready formats for design work.
For the main reconstruction design, a full surveying workflow was delivered—from validating the existing control framework and localizing the reference system, through network densification, to detailed topographic data capture and CAD-ready deliverables.
Workflow highlights:
-
Field reconnaissance and definition of the survey corridor.
-
Identification and verification of the existing geodetic basis (trig points) and establishment of a local reference frame (14 points).
-
SRPOS-based RTK observations with check measurements for accuracy verification.
-
Estimation of transformation parameters and conversion of GNSS coordinates (WGS84/ETRS89) into the national coordinate system (DKS) using a 3D Helmert 7-parameter transformation.
-
Control network densification along the alignment: reconnaissance, stabilization of new points (marked “ST”) and integration of existing points (“P”), measured using rapid static GNSS sessions.
-
Detailed feature capture by GNSS RTK, supplemented by total-station polar surveying in areas with limited satellite visibility.
-
Data processing and integration within CAD, production of an updated topographic base and digital coordinate lists.
Deliverables:
-
Updated topographic base in DWG format.
-
Digital coordinate list (e.g., TXT) and the accompanying surveying report.
